~ family in tow ~, a photo from An Giang, Mekong River Delta

Photographer's Note

I was scanning the photogenic landscape of Bassac River - a Mekong river tributary, when they came into my view finder, strolling leisurely on the river bank bounded by corn fields. From Chau Doc delta town, the river flows to Cambodia and it's a source of continuity that has never disappointed the Vietnamese for centuries.

The receding water during this dry season leaves its banks sit exposed and sometimes cracking in the sun, only to return during the monsoon rainy season, flooding fields, replenishing the delta with water, fish and fertile soil.

The river is their life and their hope....,

Setting: 200 mm, 1/125 sec, F20, ISO Raw 200, 1616 hrs

Hello Abmdsudi,
A good photo of this little hill and the green vegetation on top of it. The family is nicely seen from the side and the colourful clothes, especially the red and the yellow stand out so well from the green background.
