Photographer's Note

These three girls are in the national dress of Vietnam known as the 'ao dai' and it is their school uniform. All accross Vietnam you can see the girls dressed in these elegant white outfits going to school. However it is not only school girls wearing the ao dai, I saw many other ladies wearing it too.

Hello dear Wanda,

All dressed in white, this vietnamese trio is flying on wheels with a slight panning. I really like the diversity in your asian shot and I can see a great evolution in your style and techniques.

I like the way they are perfectly "frozen", except their pedaling feet. I can even see your footprints, crossing the street, to get this excellent panning shot... :-p)

nice capture of the girls cycling there. nice facial expression suggests that they were discussing something funny. i like the inclusion of the girls riding on a bike in the background. it shows well the progressiveness of the Vietnamese girls. tfs.

I'd have preferred it without the other girls on the scooter, but I'm glad you didn't crop it - I like the central placement of the three girls, and a crop would have spoiled it.
Whatever your shutter speed was, it was well chosen the hint of movement blur on their feet and the wheels works really well, and without it the image would have been too static.
I like the interaction between the girls, and the fact that the two girls on either side are looking inwards gives the image a good balance.

Very vietnamese! You got wonderful expressions on their faces. Your colours are very good, very white ao dai not bluish as it happens quite often. A very nice one.

Wonderful shot of these cycling girl in their traditional outfit.I stayed only about ten days in Vietnam(too busy and noisy)and had not many nice views like this one.Good compostion with these three smiling beauties and good contrast with the modern art of transportation and outfit.

A nice capture of this trio, with excellent sharpness and colors and interesting expressions and costume...I found them a bit centered and, as the couple on the bike on the left side are adding some dynamism too, so, unlike the previous WS, I thought, to give more impact to the trio, to crop some of the right side, which has less content... Hello Wanda,
It has been a while since I visited you and I missed many good travel pictures! That's a beautiful moment you caught right there. It offers many details to the viewer who is trying to learn stuff from this place.

In this kind of picture, there is no time for technicalities, but it seems like you managed it perfectly despite the quick shot you had to make.

At first, I did not like the scooter behind, but the more I look at it, the more I like it. The scooter helps with the compo as it fills negative space and it balances the central position held by the three girls. Furthermore, there is a huge contrast between the 3 girls and the scooter:they have immaculate white uniform, they're all smily and they seem disconnected from the world outside their little bubble, while the two behind look worried, their clother are less formal and their smile is not as shiny!:D

**edit: ohh!!!I just noticed the wheel prints on the ground going just between two of the 3 girls. Is that you on your bike again flying across the street to get this shot?**

Hi Wanda. Yes they do look elegant. I remember how on their bikes they seem to glide along, especially if seen crossing a bridge. I like the animation in your shot and the composition.The footprints add an enigmatic touch. Regards. Klaudio.
