Photographer's Note
Common kingfisher is small bird in kingfisher group (about 17 cm) with the typical short-tailed, large-headed kingfisher profile. It has blue upper-parts, brown underparts and a long bill. It is similar to blue-eared kingfisher and Blyth’s kingfisher except the brown ears, is a small bird that specializes in hunting fish, commonly found in lotus ponds, parks, and forests in Vietnam.
