this is so beautiful and your flawless execution makes it so amazing as a study. The artistry and skill here is clearly visible and the shallow DOF makes it all stand out so appealingly. As usual you have come up with something both compelling and visually stimulating. Love it!

Good capture of the artist engrossed in his trade. I like that he has taken precaution marble dust is very bad for lungs. Perfect way of presenting the creator and his creation. It is said that God created humans, here a human is creating God :-). Thanks for sharing.

For mass production you will need alectric machines, but I doubt that Michelangelo would have used one even if he had the chance. This is a very nice and interesting photo anyway and the colours and light are very pleasant. By the way, I think Vietnamese communism also lives happily together with capitalism and petty bourgeoisie ;-).

This is an interesting shot.
I wonder how much quicker these modern sculptors are at making their sculptures! Certainly a modern innovation is to wear a face mask!
A very well composed shot showing the close attention between sculptor and sculpture. The shallow dof accentuates the sharp focus.

Superb photo of this artist at work. Even if you could only see very Little of the artist's face his concentration is clearly visible. It is quite clear that he is very skilled and that it is a last finishing touches that take place. TFS and have a nice evening!

I like the contrast between the perfectly white statue and the bright color of the man's shirt. It gives the Buddha an almost otherwordly appearance.
Very appropriate DOF and sharp details.

Hi Patrick. Artist at work. Buddha images in all forms are very popular in Southeast Asia. The narrow frame is well chosen. It almost seems as if the watch buddha figure the artist at work. A beautiful photo.

Au-début, le fait que la statue soit blanche sur fond blanc me gênait un peu et puis, en fait, je trouve que cela apporte beaucoup de légèreté, en concordance avec la précision du geste du sculpteur. Très belle netteté sur cette scène bien captée.

Great control of DOF and exposure here to capture a great light. It is incredible to think that something so delicately shaped and crafted is created by using such a cumbersome grinding tool! I have used one - it is all I can do to get it to cut a straight line! This man has my admiration for his skill.

I've seen it when I was there! Good portrait with the sculptor in action. I like your pov, it's a nice Buddha and the focus is very good - the blue shirt really stands out.
