Photographer's Note

It's a quick snapshot of street life taken from a distance, a typical sight somewhere in Hanoi Old Quarter. I was amazed at the very high number of people here who were able to take a quick nap anywhere at anytime despite the lack of comfort and the noise of the city.

This cyclo man was bored out of his brain...

It was just too hot in the afternoon to do anything after hard day at work.....

A nice and amusing street-shot. It has local atmosphere, nice colours and an interesting human "activity". It is certainly a simple photo but you made a good observation and acted a lot quicker than this man would have been able to.

Dear Abmdsudi

Another very candid, yet compelling street scene. I love the rich tones, particularly the wall behind and its textures. The man splayed out on his rickshaw, having a little rest and a yawn really set the scene beautifully. There is a real sense of how hard this man must ordinarily work and the fleeting nature of rest that he gets.

I`m not too sure that the gentleman would appreciate his photo being taken as he relaxes after a hard day at the office...However it`s a fine snap shot of every day life in the city.
The colourful cart and tatty surroundings are important elements to an interesting scene.

well spotted and masterly caught moment. The man in the riksha is obviously having some leisure time and he seems to be perfectly relaxed or even bored. The wide yawn is funny and makes the picture very amusing. I like the framing in here as well as the contrast of bright red against grey settings.

Tricycles are common sight in the Philippines also. Nice candid shot of this person probably hoping for more fare before his day is over instead of getting bored waiting. This is really a great documentation of the daily life of people and people are very adaptable with their environment. TFS.

Great capture ! I had seen an exhibit of photos in the town where I live showing Chinese people having a nap everywhere they could. One was lain on his bike ! This one seems to be a much better place ! As usual with your photos, light and sharpness are excellent.
