Hi Skye
The look she is giving you, could mean so much
The perspective together with the wide angle Lens you are using gives it a special effect
The umbrella is a nice /good detail

A great picture. The title isn't as fitting as I thought it would be, but the image itself is great. Nicely seen and captured,

very nice, Skye, i like her gaze, which is like returning your own, serving you with an unspoken question, while your closeness doesn't bridge the distance between visitor and "visited". . Many of our shots try to add a certain traveller sentimentalism to our portraits, here, the quality resides in a handsomeness of features that does away with gender and implies resilience, against adversity of life conditions, something the grayness of the clouds, and their taking half of the frame, symbolize maybe.

Hi Skye,
this is great portrait. I should say beautiful and colourful portrait... I like the way you've used flash to enhance the colours of the girl's skin. And yes I really like the way she's looking at the camera.

A very colorful and very well composed picture. The flash keeps everything sharp and detailed.
Thank you for your comments on my photo, "Sundial bridge Pylon v02".

Wow, and what a beauty she is! great image skye, and I can see what you meant by saying not to centre the subject in the middle of the photo (although sometimes it works). This one is a true classic,
Well done!
Shelly.

Great portrait. I can't read what she's thinking, but that adds mystery to the shot.

Hi Skye
Great portrait, Skye. What I really love this kind of shot is that it is not taken the conservative way, eg in the mid. But instead is was taken at one side of the image while give the natural taking the balance of the side. And it's a good framing.
Well done, Skye.

Skye, her look really shows pride and dignity, and you chose a fine POV to emphasize that. Great exposure, too--I don't know how you made her face so clear (even with fill flash) without burning out the sky. Of course all those colors really add interest. Another winner! Regards, Ken.

Very beautiful indeed, Skye. I like the soft light on the girl's face and the way she is framed by the umbrella. Well balanced off-centre composition too. The umbrella works well with the approaching rain clouds.

wonderful portrait.
and composition is just perfect; putting her completely in the left and letting the right part of photo to breathe and strech to the sky...
I also like how you cropped it...

like it? absolutely love it. i especially love the crop. i never use flash, i find it just kills the atmosphere. but here it looks amazing & *gives* to the photo as opposed to stealing from it. everything about this shot is great...
it reminds me of one of my friend's photos, i don't know how to do a link, but his username is 'volpanglos' and the shot was taken in thailand called 'umbrella'. enjoy......

This is a wonderful portrait, Skye, from an out-of-the-ordinary POV. Your lighting is very good and colour saturation is spot on. Cheers . . . David

Excellent portrait Skye! Interesting perspective and POV, shooting from below her. Lighting is very good, the fill flash worked very well. And the colours of her headdress and unbrella add an extra dimension... Well done!

great portrait, the low pov and blue sky is very effective , good use of space on the right, wish it had a bit more height to it, but still a fantastic shot.

a good frame work with live colours. i liked the overall composition more than the face or look. u could have tried it without flash adjusting your exposer, which could have given u more depth of the face

I think this is a very unique shot in that you've used a panoramic crop for a portait. I really like it. I think it's a nice POV too in that you're looking up at the girl from below.
