Altos de Chavon is one of the many attractions in a fantastic Resort in the Caribean region.It is a village designed in a mediterranean style from the 15th. century.Walking on its streets is really like walking back on time....... it was built with volcanic stone which came out of the excavations for a new bridge over the Chavon river. The village is built at the top of a hill and it has shops, galleries, restaurants, a church, and amphitheatre, an art gallery and more.It is rather small but very quaint.
The imaged was scanned from a print and then enhanced a bit with photoshop.

really this sample from the Altos de Chavon,looks old and return someone decades back.The architectural style with the red bricks looks like Mediterranean style.

An intriguing and striking full of rustic colors, a well matured stone work yet so charming with its architectural style and great you have included thoe lively gree to break the monotony. Hola Gus.
Muy bonita esta arquitectura, que ciertamente recuerda un poco a poblaciones antiguas, con un toque de sabor medieval.
Me gusta esa alternancia entre la piedra y el ladrillo, dos materiales de construccion duraderos y seguros. El hermanamiento de la silleria, con el verdor de las plantas, hacen un maridaje perfecto.
Es un bonito trabajo, bien realizado desde su captura al escaneado y su toque de PS.

Well done on your choice of a wedding destination... great things took place in September 2004... didn't they - I would do it all over again what a magnificent venue.
The way the whole village was created is amazing... just like going back in time... Simply amazing.

tú visitaste Altos de Chavón 5 años antes que yo, pero este lugar tan peculiar con su arquitectura ecléctica no cambia.
Aquí captaste esta singular forma de crear un pueblo mediante los detalles constructivos de la casa, con sus texturas de piedra y ladrillo y sus colores agradables.
La combinación con las verdes plantas añade un buen contraste a la imagen.
