These dogs were all taking a mid-morning (10am) nap in front of the busy village market as we walked up the hill to the only bank in town as business was just opening for the week in the very quaint San Pedro village.

San Pedro la Laguna is located on the Southwest corner of Lake Atitlan in the highlands of Guatemala. It's visited by many foreigners as it's a quiet place with a beautiful view of the lake (which sits on a volcanic caldera that exploded thousands of years ago leaving behind the basin which is home to the lake and three volcanoes on the rim of the lake: Atitlan, Toliman and San Pedro).
