Photographer's Note
I well know that the quality of the image is really low, but it's a scanned picture from a damaged photo; and i well know that is just and still another sunset view...but i really like the colours and the mood of that view.
It remind me to the wonderful 10 days spent to the Islas de la Bahia, 11 years ago, before that the great touristic villages all-inclusives were built and before that thousands and thousands of tourists from Europe and North America invaded that small islands.
Its were a small kingdom for backpackers, long white beaches, people from all the world, bungalows on the beach for few Us dollars, nice restaurants and a great tradition every evening.
A half hour before the sunset hundreds of girls and boys went to West End beach, where there were a dozens of bars built on palafittes (for the sand flies!); good music, good european beers, appetizers and every given evening a multicolor sunset really long and large.
I visited many other countries on the Tropics and the Equator, but i never saw again others beautiful sunsets as in Honduras and the same fantastic mood.
When the sky was changin' colours and the sun felt down in the Ocean there was a big silence, and when the dark was came there was a long applause!

Sane, sane, theyre all insane,
Firemans blind, the conductor is lame
A cincinnati jacket and a sad-luck dame
Hanging out the window with a bottle full of rain
Clap hands, clap hands, clap hands, clap hands
Said roar, roar, the thunder and the roar
Son of a bitch is never coming back here no more
The moon in the window and a bird on the pole
We can always find a millionaire to shovel all the coal
Clap hands, clap hands, clap hands, clap hands
Said steam, steam, a hundred bad dreams
Going up to harlem with a pistol in his jeans
A fifty-dollar bill inside a palladins hat
And nobodys sure where mr. knickerbockers at
Roar, roar, the thunder and the roar
Son of a bitch is never coming back here no more
Moon in the window and a bird on the pole
Can always find a millionaire to shovel all the coal
Clap hands, clap hands, clap hands, clap hands
I said steam, steam, a hundred bad dreams
Going up to harlem with a pistol in his jeans
A fifty-dollar bill inside a palladins hat
And nobodys sure where mr. knickerbockers at
Shine, shine, a roosevelt dime
All the way to baltimore and running out of time
Salvation army seemed to wind up in the hole
They all went to heaven in a little row boat
Clap hands, clap hands, clap hands, clap hands
Clap hands, clap hands, clap hands, clap hands
Clap hands, clap hands, clap hands, clap hands

Bonjour, mon ami Paolo,
La numérisation de l'image a transformé celle-ci en une peinture oscillant entre une aquarelle et une peinture à l'huile.
J'aime cette symphonie de couleurs avec cette dominante dorée.
Bravo pour cette réalisation.
Amitiés.

Very good colours here and fantastic mood captured. The quality is low but never mind. Nice distorted reflections of the masts.
Cheers

The poor quality of the scan is a bit of a shame here Paolo, but the beauty of the original image shines through, and allows us to experience something of the atmosphere.
I like the simplicity of the composition with the two boats, sky and water; nothing else to disturb the peace.
I think I detect a slight tilt to the horizon, always noticeable when water is involved, and once spotted difficult to ignore.
I don't think it matter all that much though.
Cheers,
Ben

hi Paolo, probably because of the quality loss there seem to be smudges of paint done by a paintbrush, so all the better for an impresisonistic view like this one:-) you're right, the colours are beautiful here, but nothing will beat the memories that the photo helps You to evoke:-)
best regards

I expect posting your old photos from your young and "carefree days" is really pulling at your nostalgia heartstrings. Softie that I am, your poignant note brought a lump to my throat. The colours are stunning. Never mind the quality; the quality is high in your memories.

Serwus Paolo !
It is not another sunset. It is a sunset in poor quality and in outstanding colours - this mix makes this one remarkable and somehow timeless.
Best wishes,

You're so right with the low quality of the scanning. I just can wonder how good the real picture looks like. The colors are great and the 2 sailing boats give a good reference and contrast.

Hi Paolo!
This is a moment of pure magic! I love sunset photos and this is one of the best in TE. I don't mind about the noise, it's a tiny detail compared to the total beauty of this picture. congratulations!

Hola Paolo.
Beautiful sunset picture, you did a good work from a scanned shot, good colors and beautiful reflection, the boats give a nice touch to your photo. There are some noises in the clouds because it's an old picture for that reason I'm doing a WS.
Well done. TFS.

wow...I think that the low quality only adds atmosphere in this one, and another thing - thanks to it, this picture looks like painted...wow...

Hi Paolo
Great composition of the two with impressive tones and colors. And you've divided very well, with good proportion of sky and water that's very pleasing to my eyes.
I actually don't mind the quality too much, I find the grain giving it another atmosphere, telling the oldness of the image.
Gd stuff,

Hi Paolo
These colours are stunning and give a painters effect like Turner in the Tate Gallery. Good reflections and very warm tones. The scanned image is a little grainy and noisy, but this, in some way, adds to the atmosphere. Great work.

Buon Giorno Paolo,
Your wonderful composition of light and color was a featured destination on the home page today. The noise detracts not a whit from its beauty, in fact I suspect it enhances it.

Bellissima immagine, Paolo! Deliziose le silhouettes delle 2 vele all'ancora, molto ricca e armonica la gamma cromatica, splendidi i colori pastello nella parte alta.
