Achensee, a photo from Tyrol, West

Photographer's Note

The town on the opposite shoreline is Fischergut. Further inland is Pertisau. The lake is Achensee in Tyrol on the road to Wattens, one of Austria's premier tourist attractions. Taken inside the moving Greylines tour bus from Munich to Wattens to Innsbruck.

well, if this was taken on a moving tour bus then I'd say its pretty darn good. that would be a fine town to walk around in because i'm sure you could get amazing shots with the mountains towering in the bg, similar to what you have here.

What a magnificent scenery ! a "must take" photo place, Chris, which you had fully taken this advantage.
Stunning visibility with turquoise/blue water and the mountains on the very far side, and some lucky people living in the valley between.Bravo for that beauty.

Hello Chris,
I am sure you were not moving at 90 km/h when you took this. It's remarkably sharp and clear in any case for a picture shot through the window of a bus. The stunning view was definitely worth a photo.

This scenery is really beautiful, and it's such a sharp photo, even though you were on a moving bus. The mountains in the background are so large compared to the small buildings, and the color of the lake is nice, too. This looks like a great spot for a relaxing holiday. :-)

Wow, what a landscape. I really like the contrast between the peaceful lake, the charming town on the other side and the impressive mountains in the background. The two green slopes on both sides are well included and nicely point towards the centre of the photo. The light was most favourable.

Hello Chris,
Excellent quality for being taken on a driving bus.
The trees on the foreground provide depth.
Fischergut is spectacularly located between some high peaks, heavily forested slopes and the lake.
The weather looked very nice creating beautiful tones on the alpine meadows and on the water.
