Photographer's Note

View from my Zeppelin flight showing Rhine flowing to Bodensee (Lake Constance). The river was canalized over 100 years ago to avoid flooding. The original waterway is called Alter Rhein on the border of Switzerland and Austria. Most of this view shows Austria except the higher ground on the right which is in Switzerland.

Ian asked how the loading of the airship is done. I added a WS showing that.

Hello Kari,
This is a strange but attractive view of the river/canal running across a lake and then just disappearing. I don't remember seeing anything like this before. It's quite fascinating and shows the benefit of this "old style drone flight".

Hi Kari,first pic from your Zeppelin trip and it's truly amazing, we can see very well the grey water of Rhine going into the blue lake, and the quality is absolutely perfect, it's surely better to take a pic from there and not from an airplane,very useful boarding moment in the WS too. We both posted pictures of the Rhine in the Alps from some height. A great view of the canalised river and its mouth into the Bodensee. The colour difference of the water looks amazing here. Very well done.

I think my last zeppelin are 20 year ago seen above Belgium.
Must be a wonderful experience a trip with this big lightship.

No wonder you were keen on a flight in an airship for this is a quite amazing view, something I could not have imagined, where the river seems to be crossing the lake and then just disappears!
I do like your w/s and notes, too. We can clearly see the size of the airship and appreciate how it has to balanced.

curious view with the canal and its interference in the nature, I presume this dirty water has an impact in the lake despite preventing floods. excellent view and nice WS. looks this is a perfect way to see a region from air.

Your picture in the WS and your note there are also very interesting. Does everyone in the airship have a good place to look at the landscapes and take pictures? Or do you have to be lucky?
