Goedemorgen John, wat een prachtige en mysterieuze herfst capture is dit. De zonneradialen snijden op een heerlijke manier door de mist en de plaatsing van de zon is zeer weldoordacht. De herfstkleuren en de spel der schaduwen maken dit geweldiige natuurwerk af. Zeer goed werk.
Een goede start van de week toegewenst vanuit een tamelijk helder Rotterdam bij 9 graden C.

Truly one of those magical moments that you stumble upon- luckily you had your camera with you to capture the moment.
I find myself having to lower myself in my chair to ensure that I am exactly eye level with the screen or the blacks tend to wash out a bit on my monitor. Looks really good though.

I must confessed that after seeing this excellent picture of yours, I was going around parks in Singapore hoping to capture something like this. But of course in tropical country, the lights are very harsh and very difficult to find mist in the city and therefore no picture like this, ha ha!

This is the scenery I'm looking out for every time I visit the forest, strong backlight filtered by the branches... no luck so far!

I hope to get a capture like this one day as I live in forestlands out in NZ, this is superb with the mist playing well into the trees. You used your head here to get the direct sun behind one of the trees which is giving you fantastic colours in the ground and in trees while holding excellent highlight exposures. Hi, John,

I am fond of special lighting effects created by the sun interacting with suspended impurities in the sky. Here, you have achieved a masterful rendering of such an event. The light scattering by the thin remnants of fog produce indirect illumination. The sun shining through the forest canopy produces bands of light and shade. The combination is a magical scene.

In addition to these sun beams streaming through the tree cover, I especially like the color of the leaf litter. This remarkable tidiness to the fallen leaves I have also observed in Denmark. We don't see that in the US. I think the difference may be because that the Northern European autumn is more gentle in its temperature change than the onset of autumn in the eastern US.

De zonnestralen die zich links en rechts verspreiden vanachter de twee bij elkaar staande bomen, zijn excellent weergegeven.

Hi John,

Wow, spectacular photo! You've created such a great "mood" with this image, it almost feels mystical. The exposure is about as good as one can get shooting into the light, which has made for such an incredible array of light shining through this misty morning. Looks like a perfect place for a walk. Very impressive!

This picture is beautiful. I love the nature in this photo. I see a nice orange and red leaf carpet and I can also see green leaves on the trees that gives us the beauty of nature.

What a beautiful picture / A real nature scene. I feel good seeing it. Brings enchantment to the forest. Just enough light and mist, just enough sun, and a wealthy amount of sun's rays. wow this photo has 546 points!
I didn't know that is even possible. I suppose people in the past were more active than nowadays.
Having sad that, the picture does deserve to be praised. The effect with the sun rays passing between the tree trunks is amazing. Very much autumnal feel with the red colored leaves on the ground.
