Flax (Linum Usistatissium)

The bloom colour of the flax is predominantly blue, but white-flowering varieties are known. The flowering period is a few hours, after which the petals fall off quickly. The flowering period falls in June.
The harvest of the flax is when the seed bulbs are (brown) ripe. The harvest is about 100 days after sowing.
The largest part of Dutch acreage of flax is used for the propagation of seed, in addition, of course, the fibre is supplied. Most sowing seeds eventually find their way to growers in Belgium and especially France. The long fibre is processed into linen, the short fibre is processed in various industries.

I hope you like it
