Bruges remain my city for take different pictures.
A lot people if member of TE are already in Bruges passing, or shall come in Bruges the next years.
Old city not a big city but pleasant for make a city trip but best on foot.
These picture is a image with carriage in centre of the city against the place Simon Stevin
History:
The Simon Stevin Square is a square located in Bruges, situated between the Steenstraat and the Old Bruges. On the square stands the statue of the mathematician and physicist Simon Stevin.
From 1827 it was called the space the Simon Stevin Square. The statue of Stevin was with great ceremony and festivities unveiled on July 26, 1846. However, there was a serious setback, because the bronze statue which the contract was given to sculptor Eugène Simonis was not ready. To save the party was over but hastily a plaster statue made by the Bruges sculptors Auguste Derre, Dominique Van Weydevelt, Henri Pickery and Jules Van Nieuwenhuyze. The bronze-colored statue was placed on the day of the inauguration of the base, a pump from the former West Butcher. The bronze statue was only delivered in September 1847 and placed.
From the second half of the 20th century, the square has evolved to primarily recreational functions: it serves as a terrace for the adjacent houses, there are a number of shops and restaurants

Hello John, In nice to move around Bruges. Certainly, it is best done on foot. The small cruise on the canals is also very nice. Many tourists like going by the carriages like this but I do not like the smell. But for the young couple there, this must be romantic way of sightseeing.

Ciao John
uno dei classici calesse che si incontrano sulle strade di Bruges, una città che si può visitare in molti modi, in barca o a piedi, col calesse o in bici.
Bella atmosfera, mi riporta indietro nel tempo, a quando ho respirato questa atmosfera.

Hallo John,
Vele groeten, Paul

Hello John,
now this picture shows not only the stylish architecture of Buges but also you managed to catch pretty scene with the tourist carriage pulled by horses. The lady -coachman is engrossed in conversation with two passengers so lets hope the horses know their way ;-)

Hello John,
You have stirred my memory for we once toured Bruges in just such a carriage!
I love your viewpoint and a shot which is very well timed, so that the viewer, very naturally, follows the curve of the vehicle into the scene. The fact that the driver is speaking to the passengers gives a lovely, relaxing touch.
Beside the carriage, you have shown us some excellent details of this picturesque city.
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Hello John,
A romantic evening ride in horse and carriage through the beautiful city of Bruges, what could be nicer? The low light brings a particular atmosphere to the composition, accentuated by the people dining on the left. I like the understated tones. Very good clarity as always.

Bonjour John,
J'aime beaucoup cette scène de la vie quotidienne dans une ville aussi touristique que Gruges. Même si le temps est gris, il y a une belle atmosphère qui se dégage de l'ensemble.

Hi John,
The buildings are framing well the horse carriage. The point of view is showing the details and the colors of the horse carriage. The cloudy sky does not hurt to much the output of the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello John,
A moist interesting note about Bruges and, in particular, about Simon Stevin Square.
Although this was taken in late morning, the light doesn't look very bright but you have coped with that very well indeed and the carriage (and especially its yellow wheels and blue top) stand out beautifully against the buildings and the cobbled roadway.
A very fine and pleasing composition with lovely vibrant colours and exceptional sharpness.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hello John,
you captured this picturesque street scene with great timing and the carriage is excellently placed in your composition. It offers great interest and a delightful sense of dynamism. The driver has turned around and is looking at you, although his face is in a dark shade, we can feel the connection. The street setting, that serves as background and context, is elegant and interesting. Clarity is superb all over, despite of the very low lighting, the impression we get is lovely. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,

Hello John,
These horse and carriages are also very popular in many touristic Turkish cities and make great photo subjects. I like the sweeping curves of the cobblestone street and the absence of speeding cars, unlike Turkey. The blue sunshade contrasts well against the yellow wheel spokes. Tfs!

Hello John,
A nice stret view from Bruges, which appears from many photos here to be a very attractive city. The coach of the horse-cart may be looking for hist last customers of the day, as night is falling. Hi John,
After recently posting a picture featuring a horse drawn carriage, this one certainly grabs my attention. :) I can only imagine a ride through an already charming town would be even more so in this fashion...and it would be slow enough to take many pictures along the way. :) Very well timed, although the "driver" may have turned to speak to the couple, it's nice to see his regard towards the camera...virtually pulling us into the scene. Quaint and beautiful from every angle it would seem, Bruges is definitely on my travel wish list! Thanks for sharing another facet of this lovely city. Have a great new week. All the best.

Hi my dear friend John,
like I see, you didn't lose your talent to show us the towns of nord Belgium. Brugge is, with no doubt, the most beautiful of them.
A nise view like those we can see in Zeeland (it makes me think of Veere) with this vihicule.
A very good management of light in this ambiance where the sun wasn't there.
An expressive framing too.
My best regards.

Goedenavond John
There is a lot of mystery in this 'evening shot' featuring Jack the Ripper who stopped the carriage by the front open terrace area, choosing the more suitable victim amongst other people to satisfy his unbridled passion for killing!
Thaks for the perfectly depicted late evening mood and also for those rigorous verticals on either side of your picture.
