Back to my archive 2008 a picture during a visit to the Ardennes

Bouillon is a city in the Belgian province of Luxembourg. The city has nearly 5,500 inhabitants and is part of the Neufchâteau district. Bouillon is dominated by the medieval fortress of Godfrey of Bouillon
River: The Semois rises in Arlon, where the source was uncovered in 1966 and can be visited. It flows westward, parallel to the border, which is crossed over Bohan. During the main part of the course, from Chiny to the mouth, the river meanders strongly. The distance from the source to the mouth is only 70 km long as the crow flies, but the total length of the river is almost triple because of the many meanders.
