These photograph come out of the series Bruges near night, the enlightenment with the yellow light is not easy, but I hope you nevertheless can enjoy.
In the background the brigde between "Blinde Ezelstreet" and "Vissenmarkt", You can seen one spectator on the bridge.

This picture I have cropped to a better composition.

Excellent composition here. The reflection and lighting is wonderful. I'm wondering how much did you crop this though? There is large amount of pixelation in the lower left corner? Nice work though I like this.

Prachtige laatavondfoto van een mooi stukje Brugge. Bijzonder scherp goed van kleur. De weerspiegelingen benaderen het werkelijke, enkel de donkere schaduwen verkleuren ietsje, maar dat kan ook aan mijn beeldscherm liggen. Zou die toeschouwer op de brug een verdwaald Begijntje kunnen zijn ? ;-)

C'est beaucoup grâce à tes photos que j'aime énormément, que je peux me rendre compte des qaulités du Canon Eos. Il me reste maintenant à arriver aux même qualité de photographe, pou réaliser de tels clichés.
Cette photo est vraiment parfaite sur le plan de l'exposition et des couleurs.
Le cadrage avec cette branche en haut.
Vraiment rien à dire.....
La réflection si parfaite.

Habituellement je n'aime pas trop les formats carrés pour les photos mais ici ça se prête très bien à l'image.
La netteté, la composition, l'éclairage, tout est parfait ici.

Ahh...I remember this bridge...from your previous postings. I didnt know that the previous picture could be enhanced, but thats what you have done here. The lights brightening up the bridge provides a superb reflection of the bridge and the building on the lake.

Wow, superb quality. Great natural light plus goodlighting from the lamps. As a result you get a great photo. The reflection in the water is so sharp, its just as good as the real building.

Le mode manuel est le meilleur compromis pour faire ce genre de photos.
L'exposition est parfaitement calculée et la netteté est appréciable.
Si la lumière des projecteurs n'est pas au SODIUM essayez de régler la balance des blancs, ce sera votre prochain test.

Wow John! Now that is what I call a reflection! I think you have found the sweet spot with the DOF and your lens. I like the little tree branch overhanging in the top of the shot too. It puts the shot over the top for me. Well done John!!!

Excellent choice for the square format here. It really focuses the image's subject matter nicely. The lines are excellent in this shot. The textures are strong. And that reflection is so calm and glass like. The tree's branches fit perfectly along the top of the scene. Very beautiful. There just appears to be some strange pixels in the lower corners that seem strange even for such dark spots. Nicely photographed, John.

Workwise I've been away a lot and still will be. But I took a breef look thru your thumbnail and when I saw this it was just a wow. When I pulled it up in natural size the wow went to WOW. Both the light and the mirror effect in this great building works in a seldom seen harmony.

I went back exactly one year today to find a photograph taken on the same day and what a shot I found. This is a wonderful composition taken at the perfect time of day/night. There is a magic mood hanging over this location, that you managed to capture. A beautiful summer's evening next to the old buildings. As you have written, the light conditions were quite difficult. Good you had a tripod!
