Photographer's Note

Afer visiting the Grand Plaza went to other must see places on the suroundings such as the Galleries St Hubert and Rue de Bouchers. Tham we got divided about what to do next. It was on this state that we head down to the Tintin store. It was the only thing we agreeded to do for the time being... The tour in the shop took a while and I decided to go outside to cool down... I was looking at the drawing on the groud in front of the store while trying to find a way to take a picture, I had the toughts in my mind that I was about to step on a dragon's tail... regarding the party division on what to do. It was with those thoughs in mind that I saw the 2 guys walking out the store and could not help by shooting them...

The tilt was the only way to get the whole dragon, I was already on the sidewalk limit, farther tham that just risking to be hit by a car...

For those who don't know Belgium is a meca for the BD (or Graphic Novels) and Tintin is one of the most wellknown carachters created by Gorges Remi, known as Herge, in 1929. The dragon's drawing on the ground is an allusion to one of the famous Tintin story: The Blue Lotus. 'In The Blue Lotus (1936), as he chases drug traffickers all the way to China, Tintin meets a young Chinese boy who will help him get rid of all his prejudices.
Hergé, constantly improving his story telling and drawing techniques, will give primary importance to scenario and documentation. His quest for authenticity shows throughout, and he judges without any complacency the expansionist politics of Japan in its devastating conflict with China.'
