Photographer's Note
A scenic view of Dubrovnik Harbour taken from the observation deck of the building adjacent to the cable car terminus. The cables and trees partly obscure the view from the terminus but if you walk 3 minutes north to the right, you get these stunning views instead. The elevation of Mount Srd here is 415 metres above sea level.

Beautiful town Dubrovnik from the high Lovocen ridge above, Chris.
Stunning blue sea, wonderful red roof-top's houses and what I recal when seeing this?
During the civil war of 1993/1994 the Serb army was shelling mortars & guns bombs into the old town walls. Scars could be seen upon houses when we visited in 06/2009.
Beautiful picture in the outcome.

Hello Chris,
It's a classic and easily identifiable view. For obvious reasons many photos are taken from this point. Red roofs, white boats, grey walls and a dark blue sea provide a stunning view. The wakes behind two boats in the upper part are nice details and the steep slope full of large boulders creates a dramatic foreground.

Hi Chris,
Great view to the port and those houses. Foreground boulders and bushes create strong perspective. Dubrovnik is one of those popular European travel destinations I want to visit some day.

Bonjour Chris,
La composition est bien divisée, la mer, la ville et la montagne. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de la ville de Dubrovnik. La lumière met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Hi Chris
Beautiful colours, I love the hues of turquoise in the water especially in contrast with the red roofs. Great viewpoint, you must have been pleased you decided to go for a walk not just stick to the cable car terminus.
Best wishes

Hello Chris
This offers such a beautiful wide view of this harbour and town....The sea water is so clear here and the monochrome rooftops of the town are giving a picturesque look to the town....Well composed view

Hello Chris,
Superb view of the Adriatic coast in Dubrovnik!
The distance between the rocks spread over the foreground and the harbour gives the picture much depth.
Wonderful colours of the sea.
Also the combination of the blue Adriatic, the red roofs and the green vegetation adds a lot to the beauty of the photo.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Chris
The cable car was still out of action when we visited in 2006 so this is showing what we missed - a spectacular view towards the old city. perfectly sharp.

Hi Chris
by the way, I was able to view the wider shot of your recent post with the 'headless' statue - now i 100% understand how it looks in the square, and yes...he has a head :)
awesome view here...when I was up here the air was misty and not at all clear as your shot here. this is so much better.
cool seeing the wall on the far right. cheers

Hello Chris If this is Hell down there, I want to move in Hell where wealthy people gather, even though I'm not a millionaire!!
You gave rise to a gorgeous polarized capture that gives me the idea of buying a filter for my new toy.
Congratulations for the sensational outcome.
Hava g'day.

Hi Chris,
I was absent for a while and after return I see so many beautiful new photos in your gallery!
This is a stunning sight! I have been there and I took plenty of photos from this POV. I like how you have selected an interesting fragment of the old town and the harbour, it looks very different than the typical composition.
Excellent work,
M
