Weather vane of the season, a photo from Fyn, East

Years ago I read an news paper article about “the world above our field of vision” – many people pass the same houses every day without taking notice of strange or funny details at the roof for instance – ever since I always raised my sight ever now and then, trying to spot new details – guess that’s why I noticed how different weathervanes could be.

This one I noticed in the summertime – I got the shot in September and now must be time to post.

Poor Father Christmas: he has only one reindeer! Good textures and colors. I have to find a weathercock in Milan but it is very difficult. Good for the theme.

A well-seen detail, Jeppe, that of course fits well as a posting one week before Christmas. Besides the funny Santa's reindeer sleigh on the weathervane, I also find the textures of the roof and the brick chimney quite appealing. Very nice.

Incidentially, last weekend, on one of the Christmas Markets here, I saw a kind of a twin shot to yours: see here ;-)

Indeed, there are certainly interesting details that I never seen close to my home to. The shot is very well framed and of course posted at the right time...

Une photo qui est de circonstance ! Si j'étais encore petit garçon, je m'inquiéterai d'où vient le vent, le Père Noël pourrait prendre une mauvaise route ! ;-))
Je suppose qu'il s'agit d'un toit de chaume sous la cheminée.
Vous êtes un homme prévoyant Jeppe (prendre d'avance une photo pour les fêtes de Noël) et c'est bien ainsi.

This is an excellent time to post this shot, Jeppe. A strange weather cock, but a beautiful comosition. I like the straw roof's textures, and the green bricks.
