Tomé esta imagen una tarde de domingo, Copenhage estaba casi desierta, era todo silencio. Quise entrar a la Iglesia de Mármol pero estaba cerrada, tampoco pude entrar un par de días antes, porque se estaba oficiando un funeral. Algún día volveré a Dinamarca a hacer todas esas fotos que no pude tomar.
La Iglesia de Mármol se empezó a construir en 1749, durante el reinado de Frederik V y en 1770 se detuvo debido a los altos costos. Mas de un siglo después se reanudaron las obras y finalmente se inauguró en 1894. Todo el templo está inspirado en la básilica de San Pedro de Roma, y posee la mayor cúpula de Escandinavia.

I took this picture one Sunday afternoon, Copenhagen was almost deserted, it was all silence. I wanted to enter the Marble Church but it was closed, I could not enter a couple of days before, because a funeral was being held. Someday I'll be back to Denmark to do all those photos I could not take.
The Marble Church began to be built in 1749, during the reign of Frederik V and in 1770 was stopped due to the high costs. More than a century later works were resumed and finally it was inaugurated in 1894. The whole temple is inspired by the basilica of St. Peter of Rome and has the largest dome in Scandinavia.
