Photographer's Note
I guess most photographers have experienced “grand days for shooting” and days where they might as well left the camera at home. The 3 of March were a grand day for me and I now post the third photo from this day.
Lately I have begun spotting weathercocks (pointers) – and who knows, may be for a series some day.
The one I posted here rather old (has surely seen better days ;-), but are still useable. It can be found at the barn of an old manor at Fyn. I wasn’t pleased with the moon and decided to wait for the full moon (today) but unfortunately wasn’t my camera able to catch both the detail of the moon and the old barn at the same time be course of the dusk. So end of story - I post the first one took and could have save my trip (10 km) for the last photos.
The title also a song by Gloria Gaynor.

Very very very nice picture!!!Great idea and composition!!! If you cropped it a little at the bottom as the wooden roof(?) wasn't there , it think it would be better! But maybe after that the moon wouldn't be at the center of the picture ...Anyway it is great photo ... good job!

Clean, well balanced lovely composition. The warm colors of the weathercock is nice with the clear blue sky. The full moon would have been a nice touch, but it's good to see that you adhered to the "ethics" and didn't do the easy photoshop job.

I love this Jeppe - fantastic and interesting composition. I prefer it to the one with the full moon. Somehow its distance from the weathercock balances it nicely. Nice and neat and fantastic colours - great detail in the moon. Hope you have many more "grand days"! Thanks for sharing.

VOila un sujet rarement immortalisé et je doit dire que avec la lunbe qui fait partie de l'image le resultat est très joli.
Bien vu et attention de ne pas perdre le nord Jeppe ;-))))

I too like the moon here just as it is. This is a great simplicity photo, and very nice that the weather vane posed for you. Great catch.

wonderful that moon with that barn. I fact, for my picture made 3 of March too... the moon is also near the church but nearly not visible. Here you succeded to have it very well and well framed. Well done, Jeppe!

Hej, this is a great composition! Lovely colours, clean and sharp image with a lot of space to "breathe" and the moon is gorgeous even without being full! :-) I love the lines and figures of the weathercock and how the light makes its rust look brownish. Sometimes as you see, the first pictures taken turn out to be the best ones too...:-) Very well seen and captured!

Très belle présentation, la lune donne un tout autre aspect à la photo. Elle donne une certaine vie à celle-ci.

Very clever and interesting composition Jeppe. the rústy colours works very well against the blue sky and the cropping is perfect with the little top of the building. Very well done.

Ah, another song. If we continue like this we maybe we should start having that theme by artists or composers or something. Anyway in this case it is the absolutely ideal title. The composition and the combination of the two "items" is perfect.
I have some rooftops I want to start posting, and I have seen some nice ones here on TE, I suppose this could also fit into that theme. It is always nice to look up at the sky, isn't it?

Very nice picture, the sky is almost perfect and the moon is well placed with the rusted weather clock, very well seen and done.

Hov! ;-)

this is a beautiful photo Jeppe. I like it. The moon shows up quite clearly.
Cool idea for a series. I saw a nice one in Australia, but didn't photograph it. Now I wish I had.
