Photographer's Note

Lake Myllyjärvi in Espoo.
Espoo has 58 kilometres of shoreline and 95 lakes. There are 13 public swimming beaches on the seashore, and ten swimming beaches on lakeshores. Two of the lakes beaches have a lake name Myllyjärvi (Mill lake), about 5 km distance from each other.
The southern one is in this photo. If there were no swim beach facilities, it would look like any wilderness type of lake in Espoo. This lake is very near the cultivates areas of Pakankylä village, but to get to the lake one has to walk up a steep path from the parking place. The path goes through a thick forest of a a brook valley, which is a nature reservat. In WS #1 you can see the brook and in WS #2 another view of the lake, taken from a lower spot. All leaves have by now fallen down and only the evergreen trees and moss are green in the nature. The sun is already in the start of November very low even in the middle of the day and the shadows are long.
