Abbey church of Beaugency, a photo from Centre, Central

Photographer's Note

The Notre-Dame church is of Roman style, it was built in the middle of the 11th century.
Several times destroyed during the wars of religion.
The abbey located at the back was transformed into a tourism hotel.
In this place was the testimony of the separation of Alienor of Aquitaine and the king Charles VII in 1132, divorce which was going to involve the alliance of Alienor with Henri Plantagenet and to precipitate the country in the One hundred Year war.

b>Technic
Considering impossibility of photographing for lack of retreat, I made a stitch in 17 images assembled in one image of 40 million pixels.
On the sky I had noticed a white point and by increasing the image I could see a white pigeon perfectly Net.
Of course with the reduction of the image at 800 pixels, the pigeon transformed itself into a white pixel, that's why I erased it.

Hello Didi,
They don't build structures as solid as this one anymore. This ancient church had to be well built to withstand all of the wars and turmoil. This is a marvelous architectual shot which is rich in detail and the lighting is beautiful. I know nothing about stitching so I am going to leave that process to you. Great work!

Un stich de 17 images....la taille de ton fichier doit être gigantesque....j'espère que tu as un disque dur de capacité suffisante....lol....C'est sûr qu'à la taille de TE on ne doit pas pouvoir apprécier toute la richesse en détails de l'originale, mais le résultat est déjà très attrayant comme delà. Un travail d'assemblage impeccable, comme d'habitude.

Cette église me rappelle des souvenirs il y a une quinzaine d'années,nous avions déjeuné avec Madame et ce jour là c'était le marché donc je n'avais pas pu réalisé les diapos que je voulais.Allez faire un stitch en argentique!!
Ici du très bon boulot comme à l'accoutumé,le ciel bleu est présent pour le contraste et l'assemblage est bien réussi.

Comme d'hab, une très belle réalisation avec une très belle homogénéité et ce ciel limpide donne un bon contraste avec le pierre blanche de l'église.

Belle photo de cette eglise avec comme toile de fond ce magnifique ciel bleu, belle architecture Romane,le jeu de lumières et d' ombres est très plaisant,jolies cpuleurs et grande netteté, belle prise, bon POV avec ce tournant qui doit être dangereux a négocier.

Je ne sais pas comment tu cadres les 17 photos pour les assembler, et ca risque de rester un mystère longtemps pour moi!
En tous cas la perspective est bien conservée, considérant le manque de recul! En plus tu as bénéficié d,une lumière de qualité résultant en des couleurs bien tranchées. Le tout étoffé par une note intéressante...

Bonjour seigneur du stitch,
On est loin de record là.
Mais toujours une grande maitrise de ces assemblages spectaculaires.
Pas l'ombre de l'ombre d'un raccord.
Et le résultata est là, pratiquement pas de distorsion et des détails qui foisonnent même si la réduction en a fait perdre beaucoup.

Encore un bel assemblage et j'imagine que le disque dur mouline un petit moment avant de sortir le résultat final, en tous les cas pour ma part je pense que j'aurai fait sauter le mien !!! J'aime beaucoup ce ciel bleu qui fait bien ressortir les relief de l'architecture et tu as bénéficié d'une belle luminosité. Beau et intéressant travail, merci pour la note. Sans prétention je me suis laissé allé à un petit WS.

Salut Didi,

17 images... I have no idea of the work needed to produce it, but the result is amazing. Hats off for the light control also, you tamed very well that high contrast produced by the beautiful sun light. The shadows give the depth that the relatively frontal POV might disallow. Anyway, you have included wisely the curve on the street and the wall on the right to help on that.

Being too picky, the only very minor issue that I can point is that the church appears to be slightly inclined back and to the right and the one point perspective slightly inverted (lines diverging on the top), but that's something that would be quite difficult to avoid even in a one shot image, namely because most of the lines are actually 'straight' when observed carefully.

Great light on this beautiful structure .. and the way the shadows paint the building is wonderful .. Really nice to get this angled light with such blue in the sky .. I feel a bit of shade differences in the sky ... that is probably unavoidable with reducing the size to 800 pixels .. very nice.

Si l'on met de coté la technique (17 images assemblées, je suppose que tu as 0 distorsion), j'aime beaucoup la progession oblique de cette (ou de ces facades) qui montent de la gauche vers la droite, pour culminer avec le clocher parfaitement aligné avec la pente des toits.
