Photographer's Note

This castle was build between 1626 and 1635 by the Hurault family (that still owns it) to replace another one in Renaissance style. Its architecture approaches the style which will be used uneder the reign of Louis XIV. Architect : Jacques Bougier. The castle has never been modified since it was build. It inspired Hergé to draw the "Château de Moulinsart" in the cartoon Tintin.
