Photographer's Note
This was shot in Alsace, in that region where you have many small towns with very good wines. (All the fields in the picture are grapes)
It was done at christmas time; at that time you have 'Christmas villages' everywhere (a german-influenced tradition), there's a very nice atmosphere.
As usual, I increased contrast on the sky to get some texture, and sharpened.

philippe this is a great photo! the choice of sepia makes wonders too;-) it could be almost anywhere in the world, africa, sth america, europe... it could belong to national or regional archives...splendid shot!

J'aime beaucoup cette composition tres mélancolique. Ce caractère est encore accentué par le traitement monochrome. La profondeur de champ est excellente. Beau boulot !

The picture is good and the colours suits the atmosphere as well but I think that the tree should be at the right side of the frame, because the shape of the is pulling the viewer to the left.

Plutot interessant comme prise avec un effet sepia qui donne une autre dimension au cliché.
J'aime ici la facon dont l'arbre a été mis en valeur c'est bien vu tout ca . Bravo
