Along the Ill II

This is the second photo called ‘Along the Ill’ (ILL), so that explains the name. :-) It shows the Quai Saint-Nicolas, opposite the Grande Île, the island where the historic centre of Strasbourg is located. The photo was taken at the end of the afternoon.

Goedenavond Lars,

Hier wat minder geluk te veel wind om de mooie weerspiegelingen te krijgen.
Maar de gebouwen achter de kade zijn op zich reeds een mooie foto waard.
Samenstelling en presentatie zijn volkomen terecht.
Mooi foto werk, bedankt.

Hej Lars,
Inte lika pittoreskt som de små kvarteren av idel korsvirkeshus, men likafullt ganska stiliga byggnader, och de speglar sig fint i det nästan svarta vattnet. Du placerade lyktstolpen fint på vänsterkanten som en del av en sorts inramning.

The length of the river is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the buildings. The light is giving good colors output. Have a nice day.

great array of elegant facades. Captured in pleasant light which emphasized subtle differences in the design and colors.
The title made me smile. Yes sometimes the title can add a nice touch here an enigmatic one.
