Photographer's Note

No, it is unlikely that that is the name of this statue one of many of in the Jardin des Tuileries. At a guess, this is supposed to depict the Diana, goddess of the hunt, but I don't honestly know. I took the picture because I liked the way she stood out against the rather gloomy sky.

The Tuileries Gardens were designed by in the 17 century by Andre Le Notre, royal gardener to Louis XIV and are part of a landscaped area running parallel to the Seine from the Louvre to the Champs-Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe.
