In these times of the corona virus, I wanted to post something different - something colourful, and what can be more colouful than a photo of the Moretti Chimney in the La Défense area in Paris? It might be a classic, but I just had to capture some photos of it during my visit in Paris March 2019, and I haven`t seen pictures of this colourful chimney here on TE for a while.

Hello Erling,
Good choice to add the lamp and torch to the colorful famous chimney-wall. Otherwise we would say "yet another picture from that place". Well scaled this way.
The outcome with your iPhone is immaculate, great clear lines.

Den här skorstenen måste vara en av de mest fotovänliga byggnaderna i Paris. Eiffeltornet och Sacré-Coeur har svårt att konkurrera. Men det är en utmaning att skapa en intressant bild, och inte bara lita på att färgerna gör hela jobbet. Här hittade du en perfekt möjlighet i den svarta lyktstolpen och strålkastaren, som skapar en perfekt kontrast till de starka färgerna i bakgrunden. Det är mycket elegant och snyggt gjort.

Erling, the multicolor chimney combined to the street lamp create an artistic shot. These architectural details draw attention during the visit of this business district in Paris. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Jeg har været i La Défense-området en gang, men jeg gik glip af dette farverige kunstværk desværre, men har til gengæld set masser af billeder af det her på TE. Dette billede er meget godt med flotte farver i det klare lys. Kombinationen med lamperne i forgrunden er meget smuk og giver en god kontrast.

It's indeed already a while ago since a picture of the Moretti Chimney has been posted on this site.
A great theme where you don't get tired of.
Your photo isn't only very colourful with the yellow predominantly present but also an excellent and attractive composition.

Hello Erling, when and if I ever get to Paris again, this is an area that I want to visit!
I have visited La Defense, but it must have been before this Chimney was installed.
Very sharp shot. I like the contrasting shapes with the vertical lines and the rounded shapes of the lamps.

It certainly is a colourful structure. And immediately recognizable even when only a small part is visible. Contrast of styles is strong with those purely functional lamps.

You achieved your aim!
This is certainly bright and colourful enough to cheer most hearts!

The coloured stripes make a strong statement in their own right but I applaud how you have included the lamp, strongly placed. sharply detailed and giving a definite sense of depth to this fine composition.

hello Erling, Moretti tower used to be very popular here on the TE, but now it appears rarely. I was surprised that my hosts of b&b didn't know what I was talking about. great composition and colours. Spectacular view of these stripes, perfect vertical composition.

haha...great shot! this chimney is surprisingly hard to find.
but once you find it, you can take photos for a long time because its so much fun. I wish I had seen this compo, smart idea to use the lights in the fg, it gives your shot lots of depth, and another element. love it. cheers
