Photographer's Note

Across from where my job took me on a side street to Champs Elysses I found Hotel California. There the connection to France ends in this case.

I was a teenager in the 1970īs and played Eagles over and over again. My special favorite was the mysterious song "Hotel California". I have not heard it in many years but when I saw this hotel it started going through my head in little pieces, some "cool wind in my hair" and of course the "you can check out any time you like but you can never leave".

But the story doesnīt end there. Today, a week later, it is still running through my head and I told a collegue that is almost as old as I am about it. She just reached down in her desk drawer, came up with a CD and said "-You mean this?"

So, todays story is more about a travel in my head and a funny coincidence than about France. Letīs just hope this makes a few of you take out the old vinyl albums you thought you had forgotten.
