New Caledonia or Nouvelle-Calédonie is a special territory of France located in the southwest Pacific Ocean, 1,210 km (750 mi) east of Australia and 16,136 km (10,026 mi) east of Metropolitan France. The archipelago, which is part of the Melanesia subregion, includes the main island of Grande Terre and the Loyalty Islands,
The capital of the territory is Nouméa.
The beacon Feu de Bonne Anse, Le Mont-Dore, is located on a reef off the east entrance to the Baie du Prony, a sheltered anchorage in the Woodin Canal at the southern end of Grande Terre.
The Woodin Canal runs roughly West to East, is a few miles long and separates Ile Ouen from Grande Terre.

Hello Trevor,
I love this atmospheric picture. There is a very good tonal range. The lighthouse makes a great subject surrounded by the misty soft greys in the BG.
