Photographer's Note

In my series of the Corsican Villages, here PIETRALBA, (317 inhabitants – 475m of altitude).
This village is located in edge of the "Balanina", a trunk road with the normal gauge can one say here, recently open to connect the Centre of the Island, from Ponte-Leccia to Ostriconi Beach in Balagne.
On right-hand side in the foreground, a "family vault", building which the families formerly raised to deposit there their deaths. One finds these tombs in all the island, in full nature, edge of sea or in the heart even of the cities as with AJACCIO, some being able to reach dimensions of houses with monumental staircases (I think of certain vaults of the Corsica Cape).

Touching up to decrease the effects of the strong luminosity and to add a little sharpness to the image.
I hope you like it.
