Je m'étais fait une joie se monter jusqu'à la brèche de Roland, mais le glacier persistant encore mi Juillet et le manque de crampons m'ont fait renoncer à la fin de mon projet. Je suis arrivé à 2640 mètres d'altitude, au bout de la pente grise, à environ 1/2 heure du but final à 2813 mètres d'altitude. Il faut savoir renoncer pour éviter les accidents.

Hello Claude,
It's a bright and attractive photo and an impressive view. I am sure this is higher and steeper and more demanding than it may look, which the note suggests. The two couples some distance from each other are essential to the photo, and you were lucky to find a lady in red even in such a remote place.

Un grandiose décor avec le bel effet de la persistance de la neige et de la glace, joli pour la photo mais gênant pour terminer la rando ... bien composée ton image avec ces randonneurs et la superbe lumière.

yes, that is going to be a very steep ascent to the top. there's lots of depth, but again the best part is showing off the steep incline and the work the hikers are about to go through. good one. cheers

This is an excellent photograph!
The slopes of the mountain have been placed in the frame in such a way that they form a compositional diagonal. They exhibit many different tones and textures!
Then, the gem of the shot, two figures, one dressed in red, perfectly placed in the f/g!
