Two Statues of Massena Square, a photo from Provence-Alpes-Cote-dAzur, South

Photographer's Note

In 2007, Catalan artist Jaume Plensa created a contemporary monumental art comprising seven statues atop high pedestals along the tram lines at Place Massena in Nice. These statues represent the seven continents of the world, and is illuminated at night in bright, changing colours. The changing colors of their lighting is said to symbolize communication between the different communities of today’s society.

Rather than shooting the statues directly, here are two of the statues reflected on one of the colourful buildings near the Fontaine du Soleil at the square.

A lovely combination of primary colours, repetitive shapes and stunning contrast with extra view of the reflective statues. A unique way of looking at it seen thru' your keen eye and cleverly taken. Excellent work Congrats.

J'aime beaucoup ce genre de composition où on utilise les reflets des vitres pour montrer l'autre côté de la rue. La post production est vraiment très bien faite.

Excellent idea to take a creative rather than a record shot of the sculptures and create a work of art in its own right.

I've seen similar statues in Yerevan (at the Cascade). I cannot find if they're also from Jaume Plensa.
You did well observe the reflected statues in the windows.
I really love the strong colour contrasts here.
