Photographer's Note

In Vieux Lyon stands the partly Romanesque Cathédrale St-Jean built between the 11th and 16th centuries. Behind it and above in the Fourvière district is the obscenely ornate 19th century Basilique Notre Dame de Fourvière. This photo was taken from across the river so shows the rear of the cathedral.

Best in the large view.
