Photographer's Note

Valbonne is a commune near Nice in the Alpes-Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in south-eastern France. Valbonne means 'the good valley' in Provençal and translates to Vaubona in Occitan.

This village was constructed in 1519 with the aim to repopulate a region that had been ravaged by the plague since 1351. It was built along the lines of a Roman encampment.

A fine night capture of this old stoned church . I like the effect of the dark tree in front of the facade . it gives the feeling that the church is broken in two parts .

This is a fine 'blue hour' shot.
The leading wall, together with the beckoning lights, draw the viewer willingly into the shot. The fine composition, with a diagonal from the tower to the monument?, adds to the attraction.

The warm light from the lamps creates a fine atmosphere in the beginning darkness. There is still just enough natural light to make out the well captured details of the surroundings. The bell tower is the finest of many vertical items here.

A attractive night shot, compositionally well balanced with good colours in the sky and a nice colour tempurature. Good viewpoint well detailed and clear lighting which is adequately exposed. The perspective is excellent, the small wall and path make a great lead in to focal of interest. Well taken hand held shot, it looks sharp to me at this slow shutter speed. Great tones and interestingly i feel that the warm light glowing on the church building as strong element, drag my eye to concentrate on it. Well captured image, Congrats
