Descent from Aiguille du Midi (3842 m). View of the Vallée Blanche
This is an enormous snow field that lies on the Mont Blanc Massif. It is the source of the Mer-de-Glace Glacier. Bring you one of the ways of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Europe.

Important information: Be sure to pay attention to snow conditions and to the weather forecast. Avalanche search device, ice ax,probe and shovel are indispensable. In the mountains, one must be aware.

Hi Piotr,
Excellent light direction for showing forms of snowfields. They go together well with sharp edged rocks. Hikers give good sense of scale.

The power and beauty of mother nature can sure make us feel small!! and that is a big vista dwarfing the admirers to comprehend the scale. This is a wonderful composition with snow formation filling much of the space and perfect to keep the eye into the perspective with lovely play of light, shades and shadows. Great shot, you have caught the majesty very well, ongrats.

Kolejna znakomita fotografia z Twojej ostatniej wyprawy. Rzeczywiście trudno uwierzyć w taki śnieg w sierpniu!:)
Widok jest przepiękny uchwycony z bardzo dobrze wybranego punktu obserwacyjnego. Światło stworzyło wyjątkowy i niepowtarzalny klimat. Super praca!

cześć Piotrze, Fantastyczne zdjęcie z zejsćia. Wygląda na bardzo niebezpieczna droge i z pewnością sie tam nie wybiorę. Ja jużdo chodzenia wolę Bieszczady. Ale Ty byłeś i wróciłeś szczęśliwie :). Bardzo podoba mi sie tu światlo, jak odbija sie na sniegu. i urocze te figurki ludzi i ich cienie. Bajeczny widok.

Hello Piotr,

This is an amazing shot!
Only the most minute details of the climbers stop this from being monochrome!
I love how the light and shadows reveal the contours of this region, showing the ridge that the climbers are following, a path which leads on an angle from right to left across the frame.
There is a wonderful sense of scale.

The perfect light gives maximum effect to the beauty of the curves and shapes created by the snow. The trekkers walking along the ridge give us a sense of proportions and underscore the immensity of the view. This is a superb composition with very well handled light and a beautiful scenery.

when I visited this area it was cloudy and I didn't see the peak, then we decided to visit the other mountains in front.
very nice view of these groups of tourists. I liked the texture of the snow and these details enhanced by the light. TFS.
