I really like this!
What a great idea to use a shallow dof and concentrate on the flowers, which link perfectly, colour-wise, with the usual focal point, the lighthouse.
Fine composition, too.

Bonjour Jean,

Until today, I had no idea that a sprig of Lily of the Valley was a lucky charm in France - until I saw a photo by Claude (CLODO) and did some research myself - and then I discovered that the tradition was all started way back in 1561 by your own King Charles IX.

A beautiful photograph, very well seen and taken with the colours of the flowers cleverly mimicking those of the lighthouse. Lovely light and colours, great use of limited depth of field and exceptional details and sharpness.

Beautiful view of these flowers in front of that familiar lighthouse. Interesting to read that it is a tradition of May 1st to offer these flowers. Lily of the valley is in fact the national flower of Finland. But you need to wait a couple of weeks to find them here.
