Photographer's Note

Hello Everyone,

Yesterday, I posted a trawler unloading seaweed at the port of Roscoff but it is more than a working port, it has a very lovely marina.

Roscoff Marina is easily accessible at any time of day and whatever the tide. It has 625 berths which can accommodate boats up to 18m long on the main jetty, and longer boats, up to a 3-metre draught, along the service pontoon.
To avoid the problem of silting, the pier is wide open at each end, thus allowing sea currents to pass through. At its southern tip, the last jetty acts as a breakwater.

You can see, it makes a very pleasant, relaxing setting to just sit and enjoy the view. There are many benches around the marina for just that purpose.

I couldn't have asked for a better couple to be seated, when I took this photograph, their clothes adding bright colours to the foreground.

Thank you for your interest.
Have a happy, safe Sunday, Bev :-)
