La prairie de Dichroïque

On the place du Chateau in front of Strasbourg Cathedral, La prairie de Dichroïque can be admired this summer. A colourful installation with attraction for young and old.

He was hoping for more detailed photos. Lars asked me to select a few representative photos in my extensive series of this artwork.

So herewith, especially for Gert, 3 photos of La prairie de Dichroïque.

The light that splits onto the standing polarizing plastic sheets of splits into different colors. When you walk through this you feel like a bee flying through a colorful flower garden

Hello Rob,
Thank you for this kind dedication. These are just the photos I had hoped that Lars would have taken. ;-) The main photo is delightfully confusing, with the little girl seemingly lost among the colours and reflections. The WS show us more clearly how the installation was created but retain the charm of the unknown and unexpected. I am sure I would have had fun here.

How delightful to see you posting again and with such engaging photographs.
The main photograph really grabs attention and stirs the imagination! The focal child is intensely working her way through a mist of colours!
The w/s shops are pleasing additions but yes ... this is eye-grabber!

Lepo mesto, dobro poazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom i uhvacenim trenutkom sa dtetetom.

Hello Rob,
From your Ws i recognized the exact location this was erected. Added colorful & modern scale to the big lot in front of the Gothic-styled Cathedral. The girl, or the dog in the other WS enliven the magnificent display.

Wow, it is hard to see here what is real and what is reflection. Except the girl who is very clear. This looks great and workshops help to get a better idea. I guess wind moved those sheets?

Hallo Rob,
Zulke artistieke foto's van deze kunstinstallatie heb ik niet, dus het is maar goed dat jij snel op Gerts verzoek in hebt kunnen gaan. De verschillende tinten en reflecties op al die wuivende platen zijn erg mooi en dat kind zorgt voor een extra detail.

Hallo Rob,
Daar Lars duidelijk de klemtoon op de kathedraal gelegd had, kon ik me op zijn foto's niet een goed beeld vormen van 'La prairie de Dichroïque'.
Hier echter driemaal heel duidelijk!
Het lijkt me een bizarre installatie maar ééntje waarin het leuk ronddwalen is.
Afhankelijk van het licht zullen de ervaringen anders zijn, vermoed ik.
Drie sublieme voorstellingen!
