Photographer's Note
In the narrowest part (only a hundred meters) of the island of Ré at Anse du Martray, a dike (716 m) was built to protect this passage from the risk of submersion during violent storms ... and to prevent to see the Ile de Ré split into two islands!
It is not the most photogenic view of the island but it evokes the risks due to climate change.

Pozdrav.
Interesantan i lep pogled, dobar tekst ...
Lepa plaza i zastitni zid, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom i perspektivom.
Lepo mesto za setnju sa lepim pogledom.
Priroda je mnogo mocna i zna da bude opasna svojim pojavama.
Zelim vam lep i uspedsan dan, sve najbolje.

Hi Jean
With climate change they may have to raise the wall even higher. No beautiful but a well composed photo with the sea wall curving through the photo.
cheers

Hi Jean,
This dike is interesting, and although climate change is a fact, it has always existed on our planet, and changes are part of it. Pretty photo.

Bonjour Jean,
Very impressive sandy beach. It seems to stretch to the horizon. Well used concrete element in the foreground.
The wide views like that are amazing in real life but so hard to capture in the photo. The concrete helped you to enhance the interest here.
Very well done,
M

Bonjour Jean,
Les changements climatiques affectent beaucoup de pays. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de la digue. La qualité de la lumière embellit les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Hello Jean,
As you note, there is no special focal point but it is a good journalistic shot, detailing how man has made technical changes to protect the land and its inhabitants.
It's a well composed shot, the solid wall acting as a strong guide and separating the scene into thirds.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

jean
a surprising view with excellent use of elements. this remind me MEL ISLAND in my state of Paraná, it is near to be divided in two by the ocean, a strip with less of 100 meters.

Hello Jean,
A nice and wide composition. I like the curve in the shoreline here, which makes the photo dynamic. Also the colour contrast between sea and sand is appealing.

Bonjour Jean
The seawall adds good linear perspective and lead in lines towards the horizon. Excellent sharpness, colour and framing. Tfs!
