Cliffs and lighthouse, a photo from Bretagne, West

Photographer's Note

The Pointe du Toulinguet. Impressive cliffs and a heap of scree and large shattered boulders. It is the cape most exposed to the onslaught of the breaking waves of the Crozon Peninsula, west of Brittany.
I like this Pointe with its little lighthouse built on this vertiginous promontory.

Hello Jean,
It's a very dramatic scenery, almost a bit scary, but the sailboat and the lighthouse bring human elements into the wilderness. The lighthouse actually looks more like a church to me. It's a fine composition and a technically good photo.

Oh, I feel I have been here!
I have definitely been to Crozon and posted photographs from there!
It's a wildly beautiful place, the cliffs showing how they have been altered by dynamic forces!
I like how well you have positioned the yacht and the lighthouse, manmade features in this unspoilt landscape.

Wow, what an amazing view of the cliffs and rocky coastline here. The lighthouse is also very well included, right behind some of the whiter rocks. Also the sailboat is a good detail, it looks so tiny.

Bonjour Jean,
Impressionnant littoral accidenté de la Bretagne. Ou au moins de cette partie.
Vu d'ici, le phare apparaît relativement petit. Mais il remplira certainement sa fonction.
Ce sont en fait les falaises qui sont très hautes.
Le voilier est bien placé sur la photo.

Reminds me of the Cape Byron lighthouse in northern NSW. Good sharpness and well framed and composed using the rule of thirds. Excellent warm cold colour contrasts too. Tfs.

Long time ago there was a great shake that moved the rocks to the formation we see nowadays on that spot.
marvelous picture from sea to thecliff, included the light-tower and the sails-boat out in the ocean.

A great composition with these steep cliffs, especially that point that juts into the sea, ideal the view of the lighthouse, which seems small in proportion to the huge rocky walls.
A magnificent color, which gives the image a lot of chromatic richness.
