Salut Jean

Japanese Maple also occurs in South Korea either naturally or through colonisation of Korea by Japan from 1910-1945. So I have seen this showy plant in Autumn and this is a superb shot of the red leaves of that plant. The shadows add depth and layering. Tfs!

This is really wonderful shot of these maple leaves.
One thing for sure, a Japanese garden is not A Japanese garden without this maple plant.
The shape of these leaves are stunningly beautiful.
Funny , you said 'Chinese shadows' but I'm Chinese ... I don't see it , like you see :-)
What I do see is, the colours of 'Chinese Red' :-)
