The twin towers that frame the entrance to the port of La Rochelle, they are an emblem of this city on the Atlantic coast. With these calm waters and these reflections, the moment was particularly photogenic.

Hello Jean,
The towers protecting the entrance to the port look very strong and impressive, and also beautiful. They are perfectly reflected in the calm water. The quay creates a good connection with the left tower. Colours and light are very well handled.

Bonjour Jean, I remember these towers from a visit to La Rochelle many years ago.
This is an excellent point of view especially with the reflections.
The French flag completes the scene.

Those wide towers on the entrance to the harbour really give an impression of a historic place. And the buildings on the right fit well with the style. Good sidelight. Good PoV on the edge of a pier.

Reminds me a little bit of Rhodes Harbour in Greece. Good colour, sharpness and framing. Wonderful reflections and repetition of the rusty bollards at left. Tfs!

Hello Jean,

This is a photograph to linger over, it is so beautiful and so calming!
I like how you have chosen this viewpoint which has a good guide line, shows the twin towers so clearly, protecting the harbour and is able to include the fine, rippling reflections!
I love the amount of blue; the sea picks up the colours of the sky and creates a wonderful canvas on which to exhibit the buildings and the boats.
