Lovely photograph, great rustic subject with that dilapidated jetty - don't try going down that will you!
The compositions is excellent, and I think you and your new friend, the Sigma 10-20, are going to get along fine if this is anything to go by!
Sepia coversion is also spectacular, and a perfect compliment for this shot.

wide angle..shots are good and difficult some times to keep any straight lines straight...a tripod and ..no jk..a spirit level are great helps
the treatment of this is really pleasing and calmness is introduced by the sepia tones
i would crop the little bush in the bottom out to avoid distraction..just a tiny point from my perspective
whacking good sharpness...did you use a tripod?

J'aime beaucoup cette utilisation du sépia. Les reflets sont déjà un peu inhabituels, à leur façon, donc les sépias rajoutent un peu d'étrangeté au tout.

Tu a reussi a le virer, ce mechant virus ?
Jolie prise avec beaucoup de details dont bien sur la superbe reflection, j'ai vu aussi la photo de Gary et suis pas trop convaincu par la conversion sepia, mais je comprends que tu aies voulu faire different, toujours frustrant d'etre "grilled" !!

Ah je t'envi ce grand angle !!!! j'en voudrais bien un comme ça aussi. Magnifique image l'effet est top, as tu essaye un filtre degrade gris pour ce type d'image ? moi je m'y suis mis et je trouve ça super comme systeme, cela evite les ciels un peu surexposé. Mais il me semble qu'ici c'etait voulu.

Bonjour Thierry,
Le grand-angle présente de gros avantages pour les paysages, également pour les bâtiments, mais avec l'inconvénient de déformer les verticales.
Ici, la déformation est naturelle et offre une très belle représentation du ciel et de l'eau.
L'effet sépia ajoute à la grandeur de la photographie.
J'aime beaucoup.

This is splendid! You succeeded very well in makeing the atmosphere appear strange and un-earthlike. I almost expect to see a Hobbit peeking out at me from the opposite side of the lake.

Hi Thierry,

Great photo!

The atmosphere is dense, the water is dead flat, the broken pier adds a lot to the photo, the shadows are perfect and the reflections of the clouds are really good.

The choice of sepia makes the atmosphere become denser, but at the cost of some detail - it's harder to distinguish between the plants and their shadows. But this doesn't mean it was a bad choice...

There's also a big area where the sky is blown out... I can't decide if that is bad or good. Blown out should be bad, but in this photo and the atmosphere you're trying to describe... maybe it's better this way.
