Photographer's Note

I already published some photographs of this famous church two years ago.
You can re-examine my first photograph here where I had already written a short history.
It was impossible to photograph the entrance of the church in entirety even with a wide angle because the street has 10 meters large, not enough of retreat. The wide angle would have given a poor result because of the deformations of perspective.
I found a solution thanks to a software which you use and I think that few of Trekers know its possibility.

Time for stitching the pictures: 1/4 hour with the software.

Technic:
Thank's to Autostitch.
This software is not only used to stitch images to make the panoramic ones.
I will explain you the procedure which is very simplle.
My position was at 10 meters of the church with my focal lens of 50 mm, I carried out 74 shots of the church.
Between each photograph I shifted my camera of a few centimetres right while starting from the left, without care about the superposition of the images. I photographed several lines supperposed in order to cover all the church.
With Autostich I assembled the photographs whose I publish the result.
The deformation of perspective was negligible comparing to one picture in solo.
You will be able to see here only one picture which proves impossibility of entirely obtaining the whole church.
