Photographer's Note
As photographers, we should not limit ourselves to show just the beautiful and sunny sides of life.
This here is Germany, and not the former German Democratic Republic, but a backyard in Wetzlar instead.
This city offers pretty views and is a location of high tec industry, especially for optics (Leitz). It also has a great history and was the last see of the Reichskammergericht, the supreme court of the Holy German Empire.
But it had also got flaws in 1983 when I took this on slide film with Canon A1 (professionally digitalized).

Hello Sven,
Frpom the few places that Google-Map enable to show in this place, reckon its already a more modern town.
Though this picture from 1983 with the delipidated buildings is an evidence to what it looked back on time's.
A well scanned photo, teeth of time is noatable.
Good afternoon,
Ike

Hello Sven,
I cannot help but like this, not just your photograph but the details of what still remains. There is so much history, here, from timber-framed houses to a whole, eclectic collection of roof shapes and windows.
This is the sort of place which would once have been demolished but then lamented because of the history that had been lost!
It conjures up impressions of where the wicked elves would have lived in a Disney fairy story.
It was a grey day but you managed a very good, atmospheric shot.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Sven,
It's in a way a beautiful view of a kind we rarely see nowadays in the rich western countries. Or at least it was obviously a pretty and quite charming place once upon a time. I think there was room for some improvement of the photo, so I made a WS. I hope you won't mind.
Regards,
Gert
