Photographer's Note
Freude. Joy. Joie. Bonn.
This is how the city of Bonn, former German capital and still equipped with several ministries of the Federal Republic of Germany, promotes itself.
Central part of the town hall, erected 1737 in rococo style and renovated in 2010. There has been much public discussion on the new colour, many citzens claim that the slight pink touch isn't reddish enough, giving an almost white impression, especially in full sunlight.
In 1933, the Nazis burned books of renowned authors which to their limited view seemed unappropriate. This has recently been commemorated by brass book spines which were put into the pavement in front of the house's great staircase. See http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/photo1417498.htm

Hallo Sven Erich
Very nice detail on the old town hall in Bonn. Very informative note to go with it as well, again I have learned something on TE.
I still remember Bonn from some business trips back in the 90thies when it was still Germany's capital.
einen schönen Tag
Daniel
