Photographer's Note

St Viktor Cathedral
The legend tells that the roman legionary Viktor
and his companions died here as Christian
Martyrs in the 4th century.

The foundation stone for the St Viktor cathedral
was set above the old grave church in 1263.
the cathedral was build in the gothic style
and was finished in 1544.

The décor from the cathedral was very expensive
and valuable. Only the best craftsmen and
Artists could work here.

GutenAbend Hermann! This is a really spectacular one. When you slightly defocus it's almost like an abstract psychadelic artwork. I love the straight-up angle. The diffusion of the warm light is also very nice and does justice to the eclatant gothic design. Xcellent work!

Very nice, Hermann. I've also tried a few upward photos in gothic-style churches and they tend to come out really satisfying. The graphism offered by the architectural construction is utilized at the very best for your photo, in which the play of illuminations and colors adds an extra treat. I like it.

Gelukkig had je een statief bij anders had je er hier moeten bij gaan liggen.
Een ongewoon POV voor het grafishe gotishe lijnenspel met mooie kleurtonen van het glasraam.

I'm getting vertigo here! Good graphical shot with nice lines. Slight overexposure in the window on the right, but that is very difficult to avoid. Taking pictures inside a church is not always easy, but this one has been well managed. Good, original shot. Thanks for sharing.

This series about this cathedral are remarkable. Excellent framing with a superb clarity and tones. I think that reducing the exposure in 1 or 2 stops could have helped to balance the light in the windows, and after you could get the details in the darker areas in the pc.

Great capture of this magnificent ceiling! Love the symetry and the evidence of the stained glass windows, abeit a touch of overexposure, but that can be ignored as the rest of the phot makes up for it.
