The three tunnels of Altenahr.
The two upper ones are a former railway tunnel (now in use for the biking trail) and the actual railway tunnel. The adjacent bridge of the latter was damaged and completely dismantled after the July 2021 floodings, while the first one's bridge is obviously a ruin.
To the right: the street tunnel. Usually 4-5 m above Ahr level. During the night of July 14/15, 2021: almost filled up to its top, which means a gauge of 9 m where 0.5 m is common.
The provisory "street" used to be the local parking lot, a deviation as there is work in progress to restore the street surface on this side.
