Photographer's Note

We don't have a complete ban to go out in Rhineland-Palatinate, but social contacts are heavily restricted. So we took my car and circulated Rodder Maar, which means a nice one hour's walk.
While the foreground is just a little pond measuring 25 m (and full of frogs), the Maar can be seen in the background. Despite its name, it is not of volcanic origin like other Eifel lakes. It is very shallow, and was drained temporarily to get additional pasture when times were economically poor.
In the background: the keep of Olbrück Castle which is mostly in ruins.
